folders if you are unsure. If you don't select this option, other users won't
be able to open the company file remotely.
9. Click "Scan" and "Close" when the
scan completes.
Configure QuickBooks Database Server Access
1. Click the "File" and "Utilities" menu
in QuickBooks.
2. Click the "File" menu, "Utilities"
and "Host Multi-User Access" on the computer you want to use for
administrator access.
3. Click the "Company" menu and "Set Up Users
and Passwords."
4. Select "Set Up Users" and "Add User."
5. Add a username and password and select the access options
for the user and the changing or deleting transaction options for the user.
Click "Finish."
6. Open QuickBooks on each computer connected to the
network. Click the "File" menu and "Open or Restore"
Company.
7. Click "Open a Company File" and
"Next."
8. Browse to the network location where you stored your
QuickBooks Database Server Management file. Select the file and click
"Open."
9. Provide the username and password assigned to each
computer and log in.
